

Johanna Suvenmetsä releases a new album featuring flute works by Kai Nieminen
Flutist Johanna Suvenmetsä is known as a versatile musician who has performed both as a soloist and chamber musician in Finland and abroad. She is especially recognized as a sensitive interpreter of contemporary music, bringing together classical tradition and modern expression with refined artistry.
Her new album, to be released on November 28, 2025, presents a selection of Kai Nieminen’s flute works, revealing the poetic sound world and expressive depth of the instrument. The compositions lead the listener through inner landscapes and nature-inspired soundscapes, blending sensitivity, mysticism, and virtuosic brilliance.
